Hello, I highly recommend that you go to your student life office and talk to the Greek adviser there. There are rules about what events, etc are appropriate and they can give you pointers as to how greek life on your campus works so you can better model your events after those and not break any rules. They can help you focus and do events that will help you get picked up by a national sorority, and also it will be better if youre working with the administration...you'll have less problems that way.
To get your name out, I would have information tables, info nights, pass out little fliers to girls and talk to them about it, maybe host something fun like a bonfire, cookout, ice cream social, etc etc. Maybe yourself visible, but once again, all of these need to be run by the student organization/student life office at your school!
