rush return rates

This is completely out of curiousity, but I was wondering what "good" and "bad" return rates were (actual percentages). My chapter supposedly had one of the highest return rates last year, but we weren't at 100% after every one of the 3 rounds before pref so I was wondering what good really is. It is a large SEC school with about 5 chapters that are considered exceptionally good so I don't know if that changes return rates.

That varies from chapter to chapter. The best return rates are those that produce quota at the end. Some groups need 90-100% to do that and others only need 50-60%. It's a very individual thing and depends on how focused a group is.

I think it would be impossible at a large SEC or ACC school to have 100% return rates. Not everyone is going to "love" each other.

I'd say if your return rates are in the 90s, you are doing a great job.

Another thing, the total number that return doesn't matter as long as the PNMs you really want do.

You'll generally see shifts in return rates throughout recruitment, depending on the chapters. You say that there are 5 chapters that are all considered very good. In that scenario, these chapters will likely see very strong return rates in the first 2 rounds, and may see a decline when the PNMs start their selection between those 5 chapters (if they are considered fairly equal).

If a chapter is averaging 90% returns each day of recruitment, that is considered very good.

Who knows chapters' return rates? Just individual chapter know their own or do all chapters see other chapter's results?

We only knew ours when I was in school. The only way you happened to know someone else's is if one of their members decided to tell you. And really, why would they?
