Dallas Divas and Daughters

Does anyone else watch this? I actually find it somewhat intriguing but in a slow motion car crash sort of way.

I actually like it better than the Real Housewives seasons.

Classic Dallas Divas moment:

Chanel: "I like you" (fluttering eyelashes)
Conner: "Like. . .how?" (eyebrows raised in alarm)
Chanel: "You know. I think you're really cute. And you're funny." (coy smile)
Conner: "I'm really flattered, cause that's like a compliment to me, but I like boys."
(deafening silence)

Haha I totally saw that episode! I think I've seen 2 of them. That was the prom episode, right? Umm, of course he's gay! Her friends even said that right after meeting him!

Disclaimer: I don't personally enjoy the concept of "high society"...

BUT...

I get so sick of ANY of the women on this show claiming to be part of "high society". Where I'm from a southern lady in any classy society high or low wouldn't call other women bitches (well...not in public at least), wouldn't start public fights, would never ever talk about personal finances in public, etc. They're the epitome of trashy which is sometimes entertaining, but in this case not so much.

I know, right? lmao I can't believe they had been such good friends, and she couldn't pick up on that.

I agree. At first I thought Pam had a little class, but then the more episodes I watched, I changed my mind. Kenya isn't that bad though. She just needs to be more firm with Chanel.

Yeah, but it was pretty funny though.

Her mom's eyes almost bugged out of her head when Chanel told her about it.

I dunno, I had a few gay friends in high school, and it took me a LONG time to realize two of them were gay (one guy and one girl). Now it's super obvious!

Kenya does seem like she has more sense than the rest of them. Chanel is a nightmare though...maybe she'll end up more like Kenya eventually.

Yeah. Chanel is awful. I can't imagine being anywhere but on life support if I had ever talked to my mom like that. If I survived I would be eating through a tube for the rest of my life.

On a random note, it seems like all of them have now announced that they hate their moms. Again, I can't imagine saying that to my mom and retaining all of my teeth.

I'm the same. My boyfriend and I trade stories about what would've happened to us when we were kids while watching shows like Supernanny, Super Sweet 16, and this one.
