Clean or dirty?

Are you a neat freak or a slob? I would be a neat freak but I can stand a mess for a few days maybe.

Neat Freak

That would be me If you look at my room, cept for the current moment, everything is either in alphabetical order or going by height. When I was in school i didnt care if roomates were messy as long as it stayed on their side and stuff. One roomate got so bad as to where she left dirty bowls and plates out for about 2 weeks and I just said forget it ill wash them myself. I cant help it my mom is worst then me. If everything is spotless, but theres like a ball of paper on the floor, my room is considered messy MEGA Neat Freak.

Whoa, I don't know what that means, but I will say not a word.

I am in the middle, used to be too busy in school to be neat but now, I like my things in their place becasue I paid for all I have, but can live in a little choas for a small amount of time.

Neat Freak all the way

Too much sometimes. Same as UMgirl (maybe it's an AGD thing) with the alphabetical and height order, and my Mom being worse than me. When I was in college, I had some stuffed animals on my bed that I put back in the same order evrey morning...one day my roommate and another sister decided to switch two (mind you these were two bears that looked exactly alike except for color) and I walked in and noticed immediately, which of course made them roll around on the floor laughing. Oh and I am also one of those roommates that I can take you being messy for a while as long as it stays on your side, but as eventually it gets to me, so on my day off and my roommate had classes all day I cleaned up the WHOLE room...her bed, clothes, dirty dishes...everything! I know I am a nut! My CDs are alphabetical in a CD binder...the day I got ABBA's Greatest Hits I already had over 300 CDs in the binder, so I had to take them all out one by one to get ABBA in there first...I know I need to be committed...at least I know it though.

OK, I am a total SLOBBY SAGITARRIUS!!!

I grew up in a house where you couldn't even put the newspaper down for a minute - it would be whisked away to its "place".

I was forced to make my bed before I even had breakfast!!! How uncivilized....

When I moved into the dorms, I was a complete neat freak - just like my mother - and drove my roommates crazy.

My sophomore year, I met my match - a "NEAT NAZI" roommate who came out of the womb wearing rubber gloves!!!

I was forever cured of the whole "neat" ailment......now it is my husband who is constantly picking things up around the house!!

Although I still have a few quirks....like I keep an impeccable file of all bills, tax returns, etc.... I can tell you exactly where last January's phone bill is filed.

But I don't wash dishes until we run out of clean ones. Don't do laundry until there is nothing clean to wear, either.

Hey, nobody ever went to the grave saying "I wish I had spent more time cleaning!!!"

Its gotta be an AGD thing, cuz my CD's are the same way. I have 2 binders, one for make and one for female. Then its separated by genre, most listened too and CD singles. I know im psycho and so does everyone else

I am an organized mess. I can tell you where anything is, and I always have to be in control, but my room and my apartment can be a disaster sometimes. But I make it a promise to myself that SOMETIME during every weekend, I have to clean my apartment(all 2 and half rooms of it) from top to bottom. Because I am not home very much during the week, it generally stays clean. But if I have the choice between dishes and sitting on my couch, watching FRIENDS or doing running outside on a beautiful day, the dishes will SIT! I agree with UKAXO--I never want to have missed out on life because I was cleaning! But I am amazed by the people that can be neat and have busy live--you guys are awesome!

Wink I think I can top ya'll on the CD thing...

I not only have my CDs alphabetized, I've got them categorized too. Everything is in alphabetical order within its genere. For example, I have general Rock/Pop CDs, Soundtracks, Compilations...

I've also got my computer software categorized and in alphebetical order too.

I'm sick, I know...

On the surface, I am a neat freak. The living room is immaculate, everything in its exact, proper place, spotlessly clean (or as clean as it can be with three cats). The dining room and kitchen are pretty neat, as is the bedroom. However, my closet has clothes crammed in -- hanging, stuffed onto shelves in piles so high they nearly all fall to the ground when I try to grab something. Plus, there's this extra bedroom, which is where old crap goes to die and the dust bunnies frolic in the sun. When I don't know where to put something, it gets stacked in here -- clothes that don't quite fit, pillows, furniture, papers from who knows when, outdated law books, mail, a computer and a makeshift recording studio and instruments, tools, you name it. This is where most of my CDs vanish, but occasionally I will find one I haven't seen for months. The CDs I really like at the moment are clunking around in the bottom of my gym bag. Egads, it's terrible. But guests never see the messy stuff.

Nah, It's not an AGD thing. I'm definately not neat. I go from extremes- it gets pretty disorganized then one random day I go and clean up everything! But it doesn't last for too long

Oh, my goodness! I'm not alone!!!!! I do the same thing! LOL. I have my cds in the same order. The alphabetizing was ok, but when I did the catergorizing it drove my husband crazy.

I am an absolute neat freak! I only had a roommate my freshman year, and after that I paid extra for a private room. She never made her bed and I couldn't stand it! I made her bed every day. We were good friends, but not very good roommates. We annoyed each other. lol

For the most part I'm a neat freak. Everything has it's place and I love to see the surface of my desk or my bedroom floor . My boyfriend on the otherhand is a slob - my comment when I walked into his bedrrom the other day - "it looks like your laundry basket threw up" . There were clothes EVERYWHERE and I couldn't see the floor!!

Oh yeah, I also alphabetize my CD collections, and for a while I put my books in alpha order too (by author's last name), my god I'm such a nerd .

I am somewhere in the middle. Right now, the entire apartment (an effiency) is a complete mess. During the week, I come in step over stuff, throw stuff on the floor, but on the weekends depending on my mood, I'll clean the apartment for top to bottom.

As for the CD thing, I did the alphabetizing thing to. I also put the same artist their cd came out. For instant, for Dave Matthews, I'd have Remeber Two Things first, then Under the Table ect
