She was a very special friend to many of us, most of whom (myself included) never met her IRL but only knew her online. All of us were women who battled infertility and underwent IVF treatments - we met on a support board at ParentsPlace.com (later iVillage). Our friendships go back more than a decade at this point.
Alpha Sigma Tau was a very important part of our friend's life, and we would like to remember her by doing something to support your organization in some way. I know that you support two philanthropies (Habitat for Humanity and Pine Mountain Settlement School) - would it be appropriate to make a donation to one or both of those causes in her memory? Another thought I had was perhaps setting up some sort of scholarship in her name. Who might I contact at Alpha Sigma Tau headquarters to discuss doing something like this?
Many thanks in advance for your help.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family. It's never easy to hear that you've lost a sister, even when you don't know her personally.
As PsychTau said, call HQ and I'm sure they will be more than willing to help answer your questions.
And thank you for being generous enough to not only think of your friend, but also of Alpha Sigma Tau, and all that the sorority does to help those in need, during this difficult time.
