What color are your letters?
Since I'm pretty sure that most chapters don't use brown and mode for their formal jerseys, what colors does your chapter use?
Our formal colors are navy blue letters on kelly green jerseys.

We don't wear our jerseys much, but ours as well as Auburn's are navy with pink and while gingham letters and pink around the sleeves. Our chapter uses pink and white as our colors, but the navy looks really cute with it on the jerseys.

We really like to confuse the ladies that decide to rush and become new members here.... By that, I mean that we give them all the colors of the organization (partly because there are those of us who refuse to let the brown and mode go without mention and those who don't think they are pretty and we should use the local colors). So we say that our formal international colors are brown and mode and that our local colors are light and dark purple.
Whenever possible, we do mention to our new members (and sisters as well) about the creed colors and extention colors (at least that's what we were told they were).
When I joined five years ago, we didn't have our current local colors, our chapter thought that the creed colors were the informal colors of the sorority and that's what they used. We later learned that other chapters had local colors and adopted our own. But apparently back in the late 80s/early 90s our local colors were navy blue and pink...when they fell out of use, I'm not sure.

My chapter doesn't have jerseys, they aren't a very big thing up here - we get shirts screen-printed with our letters at a local shop in a variety of colors, and generally wear those for letter days.

Our chapter uses pink and white for local colors as well, and house letters are usually pink with white background on light or dark grey sweatshirts.
Most "families" within the chapter will adopt family letters as well- my family had black sweatshirts with a blue/white gingham and cherry letter print on a red background. My family kind of died out though....

Oh yeah, my family has a set of letters as well....we're the Pig family, so our letters are on a dark grey sweatshirt with this real cute piggy fabric and a yellow gingham background.

We use a black jersey with pink letters and I don't believe anyone has set up any other colors besides our local ones (above) so far.

Purdue has traditionally used pink and blue for the Gamma Phi local colors

sorry to intrude.. but just an opinion here
I like the brown and mode!!! I think it's pretty.... really fall-ish, my fav. season of the year... though I am partial!
Though, I can see where brown jersey's may not be the most aesthetically appleasing shirt. (sorry for bad spelling)
Be proud of you brown and mode!!!

Our chapter really doesn't fancy the Brown and Mode, so we have always used Pink and White. And I'm not sure about local colors, but I was told by an Alpha class girl (we recolonized in 2000) when I joined that the international 'house colors' were blue and gold (um, which happen to be our school colors...) I haven't been able to confirm this anywhere, but was told that it's stated somewhere in the manual.
Whenever we use 'official' colors, we'll predominantly use pink. Our tote bags are black with little pink sew-on letters, and we get lil sis gifts with lots of pink and white.
Oh... and what do you guys mean by jerseys? We commonly do sweatshirts here (but it's not very big throughout the greek community).
Lastly, my girlfriends and I just discovered the answer to making Brown and Mode uber cool... Louis Vuitton!!! Why we didn't see the connection earlier, I have NO idea.

International "house" colors of blue and gold are the colors they use for extension...i.e. what is on the packets that women receive from the presenters at the informational.

At my school we dont really have jerseys in fact to be quite honest i have no idea what a jersey is.If someone can tell me what they are i'd appricate it. Our local colors are pink and white. We dont really have one shirt that the whole soroity has, except for a pink and black one that we made for the greek week, greek god and goddess competion. We also kind of have family letters. Mine are twill on a black long sleeved shirt, which are cuter then you may think.

Thank you.
Whether the colors are "pleasing" or not is really irrelevant.
As we all know, there is a reason for them.........

I personally love the brown and mode, and our campus bookstore even sold a brown sweatshirt with light brown writing for the Texas A&M part a couple years ago...really cute paired with a pink shirt underneath! Anyway, last year during rush we actually had a PNM tell one of my sisters " Ewww, who would want to have brown as their color?!" When I heard this I really couldn't get over some things that PNMs might say to you during a party...I know what group she joined, but I'll refrain from mentioning.
