Anyone love Sephora?
Ok, I will probably sound way too hyper on this....but I LOVE SEPHORA (for those of you who don't know...it's this huge, huge makeup/fragrance/hair products/bath products store with tons of lines...you could spend hours there!).
I have been battling a bad cold for a few days now, but today, after scheduling for classes, I hopped on a train with my friend to downtown SF, where there is a Sephora. It is so interesting how playing with makeup can be so fun that it makes you forget about how miserable you were feeling!
So anyhow...I went and tried on numerous makeup products (I must have looked like a clown ), and finally left with a foundation, blush, nail polish, and lipstick - all in time for Senior Portraits in a week!
Yay! Sorry, just had to share - I feel so much better after a day of shopping! Plus, I went to Virgin Records and got the Enya CD and also U2's Greatest Hits of the 1980s-1990s ! hehe
PLease someone respond so I don't look like a total idiot, lol.

Oops, I forgot to mention that I also tested out perfumes too! That was so fun! My new favorite is Dolce and Gabbana Feminine. It smells sooo good!
That will be my next splurge .

All right, I'm a Sephora fan, too. But tight budgets limit my forays there.
I like that it has lines that you can't get in a vast majority of department stores, such as Club Monaco lipsticks, along with Comptoir Sud Pacifique and Calypso St. Barths fragrances. The latter's usually found in places like Nordstrom South Coast Plaza (less than 10 miles from my place)

YAY! Sephora fans rock .
TPARose, what's the Philosophy foot cream like? I LOVE Philosophy. They have such cute sayings on their products, too!
Steeltrap, I know what you mean! When Sephora opened up like a year (?) or something ago, I was amazed. I never knew some lines existed!
So I'll share which products I got. I got a Sephora Artiste Stick Foundation - it's so awesome! For the first time in my life, I've actually found the perfect matching color! I also like stick foundations. Then, I got an Urban Decay nail polish in Flourescent - it's so pretty, a beautiful lavender color with a hint of silver...it also has some subtle sparkles. It's gorgeous! I also got a Sephora Artiste Blush. And then finally a Paula Dorf lipstick in a toffee color - I love her lippies, they are sooo beautiful and creamy! Expensive for a lipstick (16 bucks), but I think it is worth it!

I have a friend that used to work at Sephora, but I never get into it myself. I am a Clinique Freak myself...my mom works for Clinique so I get tons of free stuff and all the new products before they come out in the stores.

Amycat,
Where is the Sephora on the Promenade? I thought that they were going to open it up on the block just past Santa Monica Place, but the last time I was there it still wasn't open (and I thought I saw a sign for a Tommy Hilfiger shop instead?)
Granted, I haven't been down to the Promenade in a while, but am I hallucinating? Please tell me, I'm dying to know!

Sephora fan here too! The NYC Times Square location is just down the street from the Virgin Superstore...one of my favorite things to do in my downtime (music and frangrance shopping). I must have spent about $150.00 there in the past month. A fragance I am into now is Shi by Alfred Sung. Sephora also carries a cool bath line of called Sugar. The lemon sugar cubes smell like heaven...I love it. Try it!

I have to say that sephora.com is one of the greatest things in the world. I know there are several Sephora stores in my area, but I always buy online. If you spend more than $60, shipping is free. It might not be as fun because you can't play with everything, but I like to stock up on my BeneFit stuff and it is SO convenient!
I think I might have to do a little shopping this afternoon...
