Transfer Rush at U. Virginia

Note: "UVA" is too short a search too run, so I searched titles only for "Virginia." I was only able to find one rather old thread, and it was about freshmen. If there is a relevant thread to direct me to, I would appreciate the link!

Transfer decisions came out today and I- rather unexpectedly!- was offered a spot at the University of Virginia. I will be a sophomore there this fall. I had planned until today to attend another school and had become very familiar with its Greek life. UVA is new to me, and I am using its website to become as aquatinted as possible with the Greek system there.

Does anyone have any advice about intake at UVA? I will be a sophomore with a college GPA of a 3.8 or 3.9 (worst case scenario after finals next week, a 3.7). I am in-state and will have recs for each sorority.

Are you interested in NPC or NPHC sororities? (Your use of the word "intake" is throwing me off a bit.)

For 3 letter terms a google advanced search is best:

I am interested in what is listed on the UVA Greek life website as Inter-sorority Council sororities. (Tri-delt, ZTA, ADPi, etc.) I have no idea why I used the word Intake. I guess I had seen it on the site just before I posted and had it stuck in my head.

Sorry for the confusion!

That would be what is commonly known as NPC groups. The word "intake" is usually referring to NPHC - you probably did see it on the site somewhere.

There should be some info in that google.

UVa has deferred recruitment in January. It is competitive and recs are important at that school. Usually a couple of the groups have informal in the fall for sophomores and above but not very many.
