It is always fun to read good news about our chapters. Here are a few updates from around the nation.......

University of Mississippi, Chi Chapter, received the Academic Achievement Award and had the highest GPA. Also, a member was honored with the Sophomore Achievement Award. Chi received the Outstanding Advisor Award and the Outstanding New Member Award.
Univ. of Kentucky won Greek Sing 2007, received the Outstanding Spirit Award, Outstanding House Manager, Won Sigma Pi Event in Greek Bowl, Received 2nd place in Anchor Splash

LSU Highest GPA for entire 2006-2007 year, Order of Omega Award Chancellor's Cup, Outstanding New Member, Rho Lambda Outstanding Chapter
Penn State Highest GPA for spring 2007
Lafayette College Won Greek Week 2007
UGA Tri Delta elected Order of Omega President
Delta State Homecoming Queen and Homecoming Maid
Oklahoma State Panhellenic Spirit Award-New Award (First time it has been given)
Univ. of Texas at Dallas at the Greek Awards Banquet won Greek Week Most Outstanding Spirit Award, Most Outstanding President, Most Outstanding Active and was named "Chapter of the Year" 2007-2008
Syracuse University DDDs were awarded the Hilton Cup for the Most Outstanding Sorority, Greek Week 1st Place and awarded the Most Outstanding Philanthropy 1/3/08
Northwestern Greek Woman of the Year, Most Outstanding Greek Student Counselor and Most Outstanding Chapter Advisor 2006-2007
Valpariso University Derby Days 1st Place
Univ. of Vermont Legacy Award given to Tri Delta Advisor, Most Outstanding New Member, Most Outstanding Chapter President
Wisconsin Chapter of Excellence, Most Outstanding Greek Woman Award, Outstanding Leadership Award
Univ. of Illinois First in Philanthropy, Honorable Mention Advisor

Univ. of Cincinnati Tri Deltas were awarded the Overall Premier Chapter Excellence Honor for the second year in a row. (2007-2008) The chapter also received the Gold Chapter Distinction.

Tri Delta Cincinnati President was honored as the Greek Woman of the Year and a member was named Greek Woman Athlete of the Year.

At the recent Greek Awards Theta Iota at Kansas State was named the top chapter for the third year in a row! Also, a Tri Delta was honored as the "Greek Woman of the Year". In addition, the chapter received Gold Awards for several programming areas.

News from Miami/Florida

Miami/Florida was honored with the Panhellenic Outstanding Coordinator Award, Excellence in Risk Management Award and the individual Award for Risk Management. Also given was the Colley Award for Outstanding Senior and the Colley Award for Outstanding Junior and the award for Service to the Greek Community. A member was honored by the Dean's Award for Outstanding Junior.

As we sisters know the DDDs at South Carolina have had to deal with the tragic loss of members this year. We are especially proud of their accomplishments during a sad time.
