Sigma Chi death

21-Year-Old Dies In Single-Car Wreck
-- A 21-year-old man died early Thursday when he lost control of his car in the Sandalwood area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said James Bartman Jr. was traveling north in the 1800 block of South St. Johns Bluff Road about 2:45 a.m. when he veered off the road. Police said he tried to overcorrected and ended up flipping the car up onto its side.

Bartman died at the scene.

from here

Although the article doesn't say it, James was a member of the Iota Gamma chapter of Sigma Chi, and former Consul. He was a very fun, friendly person...he was one of the first people that I met when I came to school at JU. The Greek community here is saddened and shocked by his death and I know that everyone will miss him greatly.

That is awful. My thought's go out to his family as well as the brotherhood. I've always been close with the Sigma Chi's so it is always upsetting to hear of a passing of memeber.
