Neutral colors/ jewelry

This fall, I plan on going through recruitment at a school with eleven sororities. I'm worried that with such a high number, it will be very difficult to ensure that none of my outfits show partiality to a particular group. Is it a breach of etiquette to wear jewelry that has the jewel of a particular group (for example, if I have diamond earrings or a pearl necklace that go great with my outfit)? What about if two things I am wearing together represent the colors of one of the sororities? When I am choosing outfits, is it important to make absolutely sure that they are not partial in any way, or should I just chose what looks best on me and is comfortable and not worry about it?

Choose what looks best on you and what is comfortable. Jewelry such as pearls and diamonds are VERY common and if you feel that it completes your outfit there's no harm in it. FWIW it might be best to just have a signature piece of jewelry such as your pearl necklace throughout the process to avoid to the potential backlash of trying to "dress" for a sorority. As long as you aren't wearing accessories that are significant to a particular sorority (i.e. lyres or anchors) you shouldn't have much to worry about.

Honestly, sorority jewels are all really common jewels that EVERYBODY wears (pearls, diamonds, etc). No sorority member is going to care if you wear their jewel.

As for colors, wear the colors that look best on you. Really, the only way a sorority member might raise an eyebrow is if you wear her sorority colors like everyday with a symbol necklace.

Example: a Chi Omega might think it was weird if you wore their exact shade of red and yellow with an owl necklace, or something weird like that.
