Members of the Sigma Nu fraternity suspect arson was the cause of the fire that destroyed the fraternity house during the winter break.

The police and fire departments have not determined the cause of the fire that started Dec. 23 in the living room of the house located on North Dowling Road.

"There has been no ruling as to the cause of the fire yet. They even brought down a fire marshal from Austin and some dogs to search for gas, alcohol and other things that might have caused the fire," said Tommy Wilkes, the president of Sigma Nu.

That is over the line. I hope whoever is responsible and punished to the full extent of the law over this.

everytime i hear about a house arson case i shudder at the thought of the three alpha gams that died in the house arson case in columbus a couple years ago.

i look at arson much the same as gun crimes. they don't always have to end in a fatality to know that they can.
