I haven't played Mob Wars. Is it like Mafia Wars because I used to play that and it was fun.

I really prefer facebook. I'm too web-illiterate and untalented in the realm of arts and crafts to build a halfway decent myspace page (I had my wife do it).

At any rate, I'll just say one thing generally about both of these things -- never publish anything on these pages which you wouldn't mind someone on the other side of a lawsuit having. I can't tell you how many child custody cases I've seen where myspace pictures showing mom/dad making an ass of themselves ended up being exhibits.

I'm a bigger fan of Facebook. I feel like people get too creative with their MySpace pages, and it ends up being some glowing, blinking mess. Facebook is a lot cleaner and easier on the eyes. I've essentially stopped checking my MySpace page and taken down most of my info, as most of my friends have migrated to Facebook anyway.

To piggyback off Kevin's point; I also know for a fact that there are schools and employers that look on Facebook and MySpace to research applicants. Just another reason not to put anything too objectionable on the page.

Good point....I thought the same about myspace. I feel like I am going blind or have to shut down my speakers just to enjoy a page.

I am considering moving away from myspace as I may check it once every 2 or 3 weeks.

There was a Simpsons episode a few years ago where they visit Japan; one of the running gags is this commercial with blinding lights and quick-moving pictures that gives the whole family seizures.

For some reason, I thought of that episode whenever I saw some people's pages on MySpace. It was enough to drive me to Facebook.

I have two facebook accounts. One is my professional one, with my real government name and info, and the other has a BS nickname, a gmail address, and is private as well as hard to trace to me. Neither have any pictures.

So what happens if they have it set to private? Do you go the whole nine and try and crack it?

Seriously, there is also new stuff out there that can pinpoint exactly where you live... Facebook is pretty protective because they got busted before. Myspace will have to change, too. Soon NING systems will change, too.

Let's put it like this, there will be "Isles in the torrential ocean of the cyberspace Universe"

Am I the only one who finds applications obsolete after the "new Facebook" came out?
