Delta Zeta Sister Lost in Tragedy
Dear Sisters,
I am the bearer of sad news this morning. Last week, I learned that one of my chapter sisters, Anna, had lost her roommate in Tuesday's attacks. I found out a few days later that Anna's roommate was a Delta Zeta sister also.
Both girls were flight attendants for United Airlines and were stationed out of Boston. Tuesday morning, the girls got up early for their flights. Anna was, ironically enough, on a flight to Chicago for Emergency Procedures re-certification. Her roommate, Alicia Titus, was working on Flight 175 heading from Boston to Los Angeles. Flight 175 never made it to L.A. It was one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center.
Anna lost her good friend and roommate. Delta Zeta lost a sister.
Alicia Titus was an alumna of Alpha Chapter at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She was 27 years old and Anna describes her as a very sweet girl who always had a smile on her face. Please pray for her friends and family as they struggle to cope with their loss.
Also, please pray for Anna. She is currently in a Chicago hotel, waiting for the airline to get her back to Boston. She is unable to visit her family in Georgia because the FBI and FAA have suspended all free travel pass privileges for the time being.
In the Flame,
Carrie

In my prayers...
I had a gut feeling at least one DZ was among the victims of the evil acts that took place last week. That is just so utterly sad. Our chapter lost a sister earlier this year and I know how hard it is. She and the Alpha chapter will be in my prayers.

Another sister lost in attacks
Once again, I have sad news to report.
Melissa Vincent, a Delta Zeta alumna from the Omicron Theta chapter of the State University of New York at Oswego, worked on the 102nd floor of the World Trade Center, Tower One. She hasn't been heard from since Tuesday the 11th. She is 29 years old.
Kim Statkevicus, a DZ alumna from the Gamma Beta chapter at the University of Connecticut, is missing her husband Derek who worked on the 82nd floor of Tower 2. There is a memorial service scheduled for Derek on Friday. Kim is expecting their second child in January.
Please pray for these women, their families and friends, and all the other innocent victims of these brutal attacks.
In the Flame,
Carrie

Dear Ladies,
My prayers and sympathy go out to all of your sisters, family, and friends for the tragic loss to Delta Zeta. I pray that God will take care of your sisters souls and they will rest in peace. I found out today that we lost 2 brothers in the FTC Attack. One of which had a wife thats now six months pregnant
Fraternally,
Kevin
