Sarah Palin booed in Philadelphia before Flyers-Rangers game

As much as I disagree with her being McCain's VP pick, I wouldn't boo her at a sporting event!http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/spor...palin-boo.html

I don't know what she or the flyer mgt were thinking. This is the same city that threw snow balls at Santa clause and were taunting Michael Irvin when he had a serious injury.

Back to Philly, we New Yorkers got nothing when it come to hostility toward anybody who isn't party of the Philly sport's world. It's probably being bitter.

 | What a load of crap. Didn't NY cheer when Chad Pennington was hurt? As NY radio host Joe Boningo WFAN 660 said, at least Philly only cheers when the other teams players get hurt.

Does anyone remember when the Giants played the Chargers after a snow storm? Wasn't someone on the sideline carted off after being hit with and iceball?

Lets not forget the fact that NY Mets fans booed Carlos Delgado. He was a candidate for MVP and they were booing him.

My favorite was the the Knicks fans last season. They were booing Isiah Thomas the entire season. It was hilarious. 20,000 people chanting that Isiah must go.

The Irvin incident really wans't true but most people are too stupid to check their facts. Irvin was hit going over the middle. The fans cheered. Irvin didn't get up and the place went silent.

Funny. I have to say that she looked pretty good in that clip, though! She's finally getting rid of that stupid half-up do she usually sports. She actually looked like a woman from this century at the game!

But, mine is done that way to get the hair off my neck and out of my way.

I love how the music is pumped super loud right as they announcing her name. I almost feel bad for the little kid. But then part of me really wonders if Palin honestly thought she was NOT going to get booed.
And for being a huge hockey mom/fan, she does not know how to do a puck drop. I don't care if its ceremonial, you still put in the effort.

She has pretty much helped to fuel all the "rage" behavior going on in the Rep's side at their rallies. Maybe this will serve as a wake-up call for her now that she's received a taste of her own medicine. (being boo'd and jeered at)

I happen to be a bit of a sports fan (again, sarcasm), so I know the reputation of Philly fans. I don't think the reality is nearly as bad as the reputation, but yeah, they've booed a few people in their day.

Does that mean you have been to an event in Philly you haven't? I bet you haven't and all you really know is what you heard from the Monday Night Morons. I remember when we had Rich Kotite and the idiots sports writers around the country said Philly was being too tough on Kotite. That moron Dan Dierdorf said, "all Kotite ever does is win."
The same thing with Ray Rhodes. When Rhodes was fired the Green Bay GM Ron Wolf was quoted in SI it was the fans fault and Rhodes was a great coach. The next season the Packers hired Rhodes. Six games into the season the Packers were ready to fire Rhodes.

PS. The moral of the story, if Philly fans booed Santa then he deserved to be booed. He was probably a drunkin Billy Bob Thorton bad Santa.
The Santa incident happened in the 60's when the team was like 0-12. The Eagles then won the last two games to blow the O.J. Simpson pick.
