Exclamation Paging the Ex-Presidents

I received the link for this article and thought it quite interesting.

QUESTIONS
What do you think?

What is the possibility of these 4 former leaders coming together for the "GOOD" of the country to resolve our international strifes?

Thumbs down Slim, but not that slim

I don't think GWB will want have more charismatic men working with him in the public eye. All of them, except Ford, are better improv speakers, they're all taller and smarter than he is. It would look like a bailout. Which it would be.

Should they work to solve the problem for our country's sake? Yes. But you asked about the possibility? Slim, but not impossible.

good idea!

I think that it would be an excellent idea for several reasons:

-there is already precedent for this type of action
-it would help to show the world that "United We Stand"
-as the author of the article mentioned, the ex-presidents already have relationships with most of the heads of state that are being courted for the coalition

But like Soror CT4 said, it is probably not going to happen

Wink Forgot to post my comments last week

I find the concept to be interesting but I see it as necessary not just in light of the recent tragedy but in terms of new presidency in general. I truly believe that both the outgoing and President elect should work together in an orientation/advisory relationship for say a period of 6 months to a year of the new term. I know egos won't allow it as a matter of course that Dubya would call on Bill for help but if there was an advisory panel that facilitated communication then it would be beneficial for our country and our new president.

Said all of that to say that yes I think the former presidents should be assembled to counsel Bush as well as offer some international advice and possibly serve in an ambassadorial role in this time of resolutions, crisis and tragedy. Most of them are doing nothing anyway but writing books.
