Question Spring Rush

I have a question: Is it possible to de-pledge and go through rush in the spring? Yes I've already quit in case anyone was going to ask don't think I'd be this far into pledging and would think about quitting lol. A bunch of guys I know from other frats have been asking me if I'm going through rush next year and I doubt I would re-pledge the previous one since they're mostly douchebags. Is it possible to find that you connect with another frat a lot better and pledge there?

You can rush any fraternity you want to whenever they have recruitment opportunities. Just cuz you quit pledging one doesn't mean you can't go and pledge another. It'd probably make the new fraternity you're pledging happy to know that you left the other and came to them :P

Not to rain on your parade, but unless there are legit circumstances of someone depledging I doubt my org would take someone who depledged. Taking someone who depledged someone can just lead to unnecessary drama. Unless the person in question is stellar and could really contribute to the chapter, they might not be worth the effort. It also (fairly or unfairly) leaves the aftertaste of getting some group's left overs.

OP: If you've gotten good vibes from some of the older members of certain chapters, by all means rush again. The older guys have more pull and if they really want you they'll definitely make sure their chapter knows how much of an asset you are. On the otherhand, if the guys that want you just got iniatied and aren't that many of them, your chances might not be that good.

Side note: Why did you (or do want to) depledge anyway?

I feel differently. I think that when you are recieveing another pledge that has depledged another fraternity, your getting a compliment. they are basically saying your organization is better and the other is not what it's all cracked up to be. but that just may be me. . .

Or they couldn't cut it with the other organization and just want some letters. Like I said unless the PNM that depledged is stellar I wouldn't want to risk jeopardizing good relations with other groups by taking their scraps. One PNM is not worth it.
