Lightbulb Introductions

Hey everyone, I need a little help. Tonight we have walk arounds, and all of us pledges have to introduce ourselves to the sororities and say some kind of pick up line or something. We have decided that we want to look like gentlemen, and not offend any of the girls. Could any of you give me suggestions. Girls, what is something that you would like to hear that would make you remember them? Guys, if you have done this before, what did you say? Thanks, I have to be there at 5:30 pacific time, so anything will be of value.
Josh

Hi, my name is GmuTeke, and it's an honor to meet you.

My big brother told me XYZ (insert girl's sorority here) had the prettiest ladies on campus, he is obviously a master of understatement.

Oh I like that one GmuTeke!

If anything just compliment her on her appearance. My favorite one is "Heaven must have lost an angel because I'm looking at one now!" Maybe you could think of one that would fit with the sorority theme. Like the one I said would work for Pi Phi, and maybe for KKG you could say "You've just given me the key to unlock my heart." You get the idea.

That pretty cool. Research about every sorority on your campus and try to involve their symbols.

What is it about TKE's?

I was at a TKE party Saturday night, and I was introducing myself to some of the pledges. One of them told me "It's such an honor to meet the president of the best sorority house on this campus. This is definitely the best part of my night."

There must be a BS section in your pledge manuals.

(I mean this all in the most affectionate way; please don't take offense.)

Nope no bs section in the manual. They were just being nice and very likely actually believe what they are saying. You must admit its much better than being an a-hole or jerk.

Talking Hilarious (and great)!

GMUTeke: I love it. Just the right amount of flattery and sassiness (perhaps not the word I am looking for, but you get what I mean...).

good to know you all aprove. i must admit, it's a modified line from the classiest movie of all time, Casablanca, where the Chief of Police meets Ingrid Bergman.

So Josh, did you use the line? I'm curious as to how it went.

This isn't exactly an answer to the original question, but I thought it was a related topic.

Every semester on sorority bid day, the Phi Taus on campus come and sing to us outside the sorority residence hall. It's really sweet, and it's fun for the new members.

Hey, I said,
"The morning sunrise pales in comparison to the beauty that is _____" and I would fill in the name of the sorority. It went well.
