Email tells Dem voters in Va to vote 11-5-08

yep, you read that right. people here in va (a hot battleground this year) got an email that says you should vote on Nov. 5th if you are a democrat.

http://www.stereohyped.com/phony-fly...-day-20081028/

what should really piss you off, whether you are a republican or democrat, is the deep-rooted need to WIN by some people. they dont care how passionate the other side is about issues and things like that, or the state of the nation, they just want to win. period...obviously, someone (i cant say Rep's because they cant say for sure who sent it) is taking advantage of all the first-time voters and hoping to keep them out of the polls...

eta: dont get me wrong, i agree that you need to be educated about things lol, but still...

To be fair if you don't know when election day is, your vote doesn't deserve to be counted anyways, but yeah... sketchy...

OH, my GOODNESS. My state Delegate (in Virginia) sponsored a law that makes it illegal to tell someone the wrong voting date. Should I call her? Oh, heavens. She'll be spending all the tax money on finding the perpetrator.

This has been going on for DECADES. It's just been electronic the last few years.

Why did this have to be Virginia? Still though, I hope no one was dumb enough to fall for it.
