Greek Lettering For Tattoo...
Hello. I hope I'm not offending anyone by being here. I don't know any greek at all. I want to get the word "Gravity" which is "σοβαρότητα" in Greek??? My problem is that I want this to be authentic and correct. I want the punctuation to be proper and accurate. I also want a fancy or cool sort of font. To me it all looks cool but i'm sure there is boring type font and cool fancy font for Greek lettering. Can someone help me? I've been having the hardest time trying to figure this out.
Thanks!

Go find someone who speaks the Greek language.
We're not that kind of website. Read carefully.
Also, if you can't figure out authenticity and accuracy on your own, you probably shouldn't get the tattoo.

thanks for the attitude. i remember now why i hate forums. people are always on their high horse with their last words. if you read carefully i was very polite about being here. and i wasn't asking for your opinion on the validity of my tattoo...
get over yourself....... i'm sure i'll get banned but whatever.. just trying to be friendly, so sorry to disturb you OTW.

Here's a hint - a forum for United States fraternity and sorority members isn't the greatest place to find someone who speaks Greek. If the word you want is on my fraternity crest (its not) than I could help you, but that would be the only time.

So you come to a forum for Fraternities and Sororities because you think we speak the Greek language....mmmkay.
I may have the attitude at the end of the day, but you're still the dumbass who can't figure out if his tattoo is accurate and proper.

I may be wrong, but I think this is what you're looking for: ΔΩΥΧΗΕ

LOOK UNDERNEATH IT DUMBASS!!! "The fraternity and Sorority Network"
Nowhere does it say that this is for Greeks (from Greece). Do your own research without coming to a forum to get your answer.
ETA: even a small search around here you'll see forums for "recruitment" "chapter operations," not something you'd find in a forum for people from Greece.

Grow a thicker skin, OP. Judging by your use of expletives, it's apparent that the only one upset here is you.

And you wonder why fraternities and sororities get a bad rep? Way to go, guys.

There's already another website where people are forced to be nice to one another.
Thank goodness GC isn't one of them.
Leslie, I'll gladly take the blame for fraternities and sororities having a bad rep. Nevermind the hazing and numerous violations related to alcohol, right?

It would be like someone asking you to tell them how to spell gravity in a language you don't know. Or someone asking me to tell them how to spell "gravity" in German since I'm German.
This isn't the place to ask, I think people were just pointing out to you that while this may be "greek chat" it's also the "fraternity & sorority network". People are trying to tell you that you are at the wrong forum, several people said it- yet you continued to post and get defensive.
Instead of wasting your time getting all upset why don't you try to seek out someone in your community who is fluent in Greek, or go to the library and see if you can find something. There are certianly ways to go about finding the meaning, this just isn't the right avenue.
