No, I definitely live on my own now. But I got into watching this stuff as an editor at my university's paper the past 2years where I wrote entertainment reviews as well. And now I'm writing freelance reviews while working in DC on another job since my recent graduation. So at least I'm getting paid to watch this stuff.
P.S. I'd NEVER watch reality TV without my DVR though. I make 1hr shows go down to about 15minutes. And shows like AI down to about 3-4, where I just watch the last few minutes where the vote off and recap the night's events.

My coworker's wife auditioned in NYC this season. I'll tune in tonight to find out if she gets any airtime. She made it to second callbacks.

I'm so glad that drama queen Olivia got kicked off, she was so annoying with her sorry attitude.

i'm kind of surprised that they did kick her off-reality shows seem to love to keep that personality type around for the drama.
i felt so bad for the final two guys and girls-how tough was that to have to be the last to be informed if you were staying or going?
did it seem to anyone else that a proliferation of hip-hop guys made it to the final 10?

I really like this final group. I was sad to see my favourite girl go though. She was really young though, so she can definitely come back I'm sure, but I really liked her.

Do you think that they keep some of the hip-hop dancers to give the show a broader appeal? I love the the more technical dancers, but would anyone watch if the 'classically' trained dancers were the only contestants?

I didn't see the top 20 last night, but I wanted to comment on the group choreography thing - it's ridiculous. The show is about DANCING. I'm a dancer, I have a degree in it. Not ever dancer is a good choreographer. I think some of those people who didn't make it after that round were vicitims of bad choreography and that's a shame.

I'm watching too! I felt so bad for the last two girls. I'm really sad that the girl who had the prosthetic arm wasn't invited to the top 20- I loved her dancing!

EXACTLY! that one group that had the girl come out of the suitcase - my friend (the black dude with the cornrows - we're both NYU RA's) is a dancer/choreographer and i felt so back when nigel ripped them a new one over the bad choreography.
my friend's a good dancer - let him come back on!!!!!!! LOL

I agree. It's like saying that all singers can write a song. I didn't think it was fair that they made them do that.

^I don't see what was wrong with that though. I mean, they gave the people who screwed up royally (the suitcase group) a chance to dance for their lives. I think the judges saw beyond bad choreography and focused on talent and let people dance to save themselves if things were questionable.

I am stoked that Hok finally made it!!!!!
I think they're heavy on the Hip Hop dancers this year because in the first two seasons Nigel constantly said he wanted a Hip Hop dancer to go far in the competition. The best way to do that is to put more Hip Hop dancers in the final 20.
Is anyone else annoyed that they didn't even mention the blonde girl from last season who Nigel guranteed a spot in Vegas for this season???
