Sean Bell's Killers (NYC Cops) Walk
Per Tom Joyner Morning Show,
The cops that killed Sean Bell in NYC back in November 2006, were acquitted on all charges.
He was shot 50 times (and one of the cops reloaded even) and died the night before he got married.

I'm sure this will do great things for race relations in this country...
I was pleasantly surprised with Sharpton's comments.

shiner...not sure if you have been paying attention but....ummm...
hmmm...how can I put it....
uuhh......East Baltimoronese style is best....
'This ain't got shyt to do wif race.'
at least 2 or 3 of the 5 cops involved in this case were black.
But what this does have to do with is the fact that:
- the cops involved were about to be disbanded because they case that they were on wasn't turning up any evidence.
- they did not follow SOP as they went about thier investigation
- most importantly (as in the Diallo case) they shot an unarmed man.

Which comments"
These?
"The Rev. Al Sharpton accompanied Bell family members to the cemetery, and said later that they will join him on Saturday at a rally protesting the verdict. He said he had spoken to the governor and the mayor, and that he believed a federal civil rights prosecution of the officers would be appropriate.
“This verdict is one round down, but the fight is far from over,” Mr. Sharpton said.
He promised protests “to demonstrate to the federal government that New Yorkers will not take this abortion of justice lying down.”
New Yorkers or the family looking for $50 million dollars?
And this from the person who has yet to pay a dime or do any time for the part he played in the Tawana Brawley matter.

riot?
I can't wait till May Day, I'm going to get to see all sorts of riots.
I saw some graffiti, that translated said:
"1st of May, Cars burn, Pigs (cops) die."
Sounds like a blast.

It's like a civil war in Africa; you know, it doesn't really concern you too much. - P.J. O'Rourke

Hi...new to the forums, but this topic burns me. I think you're right AKA2D justice for them will mean knowing that they ruthlessly murdered an innocent groom before his wedding. How can you live with that??
I, for one, hope that "we" don't try to take justice into our own hands. But at the same time, don't want Mr. Bell to die in vain.

This incident is an outrage and the acquittal is ridiculous.
I can't imagine finding out the man that you love was killed the eve before your wedding. Words can't express.
