Hehe, I don't really keep up on sports much, enjoy watching games now and then, but I don't know many players. From the first paragraph there, I thought maybe you were one of those Greek Nationals

Hahahahaha although i'm one of the few one sticks up for this poor bastard, this was a very bad trade by the rangers. They gave up a potential superstar, a 4th overall pick, and another young defenceman. The rangers are in a rebuilding phase, this might set them back another 4 or 5 years.

Kevlar, but if he does get another concussion... It will be the worst trade in hockey history, which is something the RANGERS don't want.

Whoa, how's that for sympathy, I bet Arya feels reassured now. I'll give you something to feel good about: the first lindros trade from the Nordiques to the Fliers made both organizations. It helped each team immensely. This could do the same for new york too, some players have such an aura around them that they elevate their teammates level of play. Now I personally don't think Lindros is only a hit away from retirement, but I geuss time will tell.
P.S. this is far from the worst trade in history.

Lil G, this will be the rorst trade in history only if Lindros goes down for good. It is a good possibility. I am just glad the wings weren't dumb enough to get fedorov like the rumors stated back in June.

Personally I think it would be a good thing if he retired, that way the Rangers could re-negotiate the contract, and put their resources towards more valued players. I hate when a team picks up a seasoned veteran for more then he’s worth, instead of going with rookies.

Being from Denver, I'll just smile and stay out of the hockey discussions.

Question

My prayer might be answered. There are rumors that the trade is falling apart and LA might be in line to trade for Erica. Maybe the hostile reaction from the fan has something to do with it. I just hope it's correct. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.

On another note, another rumor is flying around with the impending signing of Bret Hull. Sather might just still be in my christmass card list.

Arya, the signing of Hull would help a bit. I am glad for you that the Lindros tarde might be falling apart. That would have been a terrible trade for the rangers.

Unfortunately the trade seem to be going ahead. The Flyers fan still can't believe their luck. While us Rangers are looking at another 4 years of dispair. I wonder how long will Lindros last. I wonder if there is an odd on which game Lindros will receive his last concussion. I'm moving to Tibet.

On another note, Schumacher won the Hungarian Grand Prix, hence winning the World Championship!!!!!!!

Arya, though the trade did go through, the flyers owe the rangers a conditional first round draft pick if Eric Lindros doesn't play a certain amount of games. The rangers also are expected to announce the signing of Brett Hull tomorrow too.
