Airline Passengers Face Even More Fees
Higher Charges Aim To Offset Fuel Costs
Airline passengers, already enduring persistent flight delays and other customer service headaches, are confronting another aggravation: mounting fees for everything from checking a second bag to sending a child alone on a trip. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...nav=rss_nation
I'm a bit disturbed at Northwest for implementing the $25 for a second bag fee. I chose to fly NorthWest to our convention in San Antonio specifically because they didn't charge a second bag fee. Now they do, making the price go up. It would have been cheaper to fly a different airline if I'd known. And no, I can't get all those formal gowns and daily business wear into one suitcase.
Yep. I'm already experiencing huge price increases. I paid $600 for a round trip to Laguardia that has never been above $250. NY hotel prices are increasing too!
As for air fares, I'd go back to driving some places.
If gas prices weren't so high.
