Military Greeks (Intake)

I'm in the military now so I don;t have the luxury of attending a 4 year school but I am very interested in joining a Frat, I've heard rumors about a military chapter of a certain frat, Does anyone know how try this is and where I could find out more info on joining.

There is a thread on here about sororities and fraternities represented at Military Academies like West Point. To join a collegiate organization, you have to be in pursuance of a bachelor's degree or if you have already achieved your degree, some organizations (such as those in the NPHC) can initiate members at the Alumnae level.

Thanks for your reply, I'm not at a Service Academy I was actually thinking about earning my BA online, Is it true that you have to be at a school (traditional) for at least two semesters before you can join any organization speaking more about an NPHC.

Each NPHC organization has their own requirements so I advise you to go to the organization's national website for details. Accepting people enrolled in online programs is something we're not doing currently although I'm not sure about schools (where there is an active campus chapter) that also offer online programs. A big part of being an undergrad in these organizations is about serving and being an influence on the campus community.

Your only choice may be to achieve your bachelor's degree online (or a certain amount of credits and gpa as some orgs indicate) and then to pursue membership at the Alumnae level. Good Luck!

Phi Beta Upsilon is a fraternity founded for vets by vets of the Vietnam War. I'm not sure if any of their 3 chapters are still active though. They had 2 in New Hampshire and 1 in Texas I think. I'm not sure where you are located.
