I Need Help - Old Gospel Songs

I bought my grandmother a simple mp3 player for Christmas. It's for her to use while she's working, and to have easy access to videos and pictures of family since some of us are in another state. She's young, mid-fifties, and has already mastered email and cell phones, so I don't believe this will be much trouble for her. She likes old-school gospel. I listen to more new age renditions. I told her I was burning a cd, and she supplied the following artists: Mississippi Mass Choir, Rance Allen, Bolton Brothers, Shirley Caesar, & the Jackson Southerners.
Does anyone have any additional suggestions? Anyone is invited to respond.

 Thanks!

btw is 1060 (I think that was the station, or was it 1080?) on the AM dial still playing gospel? We're talking when I was staying with my mom 100 years ago (okay, 25 years ago) during the summers and working at National Airport.

Senusret took me back.

Okay, how 'bout Albertina Walker? You mentioned Shirley Caesar - how about her and the Caravans? I think this included 'Tina Walker, Inez Andrews, et. al.

If she likes the Jackson Southernaires, she might also like the Williams Brothers.

I wore this song out about 3 months ago when I found it on youtube - it's an oldie but goodie. If she likes choir music, she'll like this .

^^^ LOL.... I think 1340 (WYCB) is the only AM station playing gospel in DC, but I'd have to ask my mom. Remember the jingle? "W YYYYYYYYY CCCC BBB - thirteen forty AAA MM!"
HOWEVER, they just launched an FM gospel station about a year ago: http://www.praise1041.com/home.asp
I personally don't enjoy it very much because it's not old school enough -- I like choir/piano gospel, not soloist/rapper/dancers/chorale/harp/pan flute/drum line/dj on the ones and twos gospel.

I remember seeing an oooollllld album cover with the call letters going diagonally, I think: WYCB: When You Can Believe . Man, I used to go to sleep with that station on every night.

You are too funny with the "soloist/rapper/dancers/chorale/harp/pan flute/drum line/dj on the ones and twos gospel".

Ohmygoodness thank you sooo much for taking me back to that station. Man, those were some good memories. And yes, WYCB used to wear out Donald Vails!

The Williams Brothers are really good ("I'm Just a Nobody..." and "Sweep Around Your Own Front Door..." etc.) and she might like Albertina Walker.
