I did! I really don't know what to make of this new show. All these reality shows are getting pretty ridiculous--especially with their prizes. Did I hear the prize right? Is the winner gonna become a Lady? (Like, a man is knighted as a "Sir" and the women become a "lady") Thats pretty ridiculous, I can't believe the queen would agree to that, of course I might have heard wrong.

Is it just me, or did Beth look like Nicky Hilton? And I felt sorry for Molly. According to Crystal she moved all the tables so that everyone could be included, but how could NO ONE notice that Molly was sitting in a corner so far away from everyone. Or when they went shopping and everyone was giving comments on how people looked, but everyone ignored Molly when she wanted some feedback. I know they used some editing trick during that scene, but still I dont think anyone did help her! And Atlanta, she's the one who cried when they showed the crown. I know Parliament is a big thing, but is it really THAT important that her grandfather or uncle or someone was in the French Parliament in the 1500s (or was it 1800s?). And how is she going to "live up to that name?" By being an American Princess....cause she'll be "knighted" (sorry dont know the feminine version of it).

Ugh...i dont know about this show...but knowing me, I'll probably be watching it whenever i can! lol.

Ms. MysticCat was channel-surfing and got sucked into this trainwreck -- I watched part with her.

I think what they actually said was that the winner would receive a title of European (not necessarily English or British) nobility. I expect it to come from some royal family without a throne anymore, like the King of Italy, the King of Yugoslavia, or maybe even from Princess Catherine Oxenberg herself. I just don't see Elizabeth R jumping on the WE reality show bandwagon.

And FWIW, the female equivalent of "Sir" is "Dame" (except in the Order of the Garter and the Order of the Thistle, where it is "Lady"). Otherwise, "Lady" is the correct title for various noblewomen or for the wife of a knight.

YES!! That's the first thing I thought of when I saw her

Ditto But I noticed something about her. When the girls came in for the vote-off, when Molly was picked (I think), she glided into her chair and sat up straight and crossed her ankles right away. I see the girl has potential and is a fast learner.

Agreed ETA Crystal had on WAY TOO much eye makeup and it was too dark.

Exact thought

I thought it was hysterical. I'm sure the Brits(& other royals) do too.

I went to the website and I am MAD at this show! I looked at the contestant page and why is it that all their occupations are listed (an office manager from Michigan) but Carol is a "redhead from Alabama"? I wonder how much she makes doing that.

I think Molly is the underdog, most poeple are probably counting her out (although i didnt see which 10 they ended up picking) but I think that she might just end up winning these things. Just cause she MIGHT not have the looks (but it think if they cut her hair, gave her a teeth whitening and waxed off that mustache, she'd be a beauty!) but Molly is a fast learner and she'll probably be the one that the etiquette teacher uses as an example for the rest of the girls!

My first impression of Crystal, was YIKES! There is no need for THAT MUCH eye makeup.

Oh ok, that makes MORE sense! Thanks for clearing that up.

Ok, so I looked up this info on the ol'internet and came to the conclusion that the Brits are crazy. Orders of chivalry, British honours system, Sovereign ....good Lord!.. all that and I'd want to become a pilgrim and get the heck out of there too!

I noticed that they had Paul Burrell (Butler of the late Princess of Wales who stole a bunch of her stuff and wrote a tell-all book about her after she was killed) gave ten of the "lucky" women an etiquette lesson.

I mean, he was a butler for the Royal Family. A servant. Are Americans so enamored by anything with a British accent that they'll clamor for etiquette lessons from the paid help?

While I share your amusment, I would have to note that a butler for a member of the Royal Family is a bit above "paid help." Given the responsibilities of the job, a Royal butler (or similar servant) is probably one of the foremost experts on etiquette around.

In the old days, however, they would have had enough self-respect and respect for the Family not to pull a Paul Burrell.

You're right, but he does seem to be a bit of a cad.

Most of the girls on the show were extremely selfish and arrogant.
Especially both Angelas...

“This is me, and I am not going to change myself for someone else.” Angela S.
Hello! Then why were you there? You should have stayed home.

“No thanks. I don’t drink tea.” Carol
Hey girl! You were at the tea party. Were you expecting hamburger and coke?

Some of the girls were not ready to learn or change.

Arrogant American chicks are embarrassing the country. They should be on Jay Leno’s Jay Walking – Girls gone stupid or something.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Its true though. WTF is up with Angela...both of them. Did you see crazy "Balloon Angela" talking and just carrying on an imaginary conversation/dance in the dining room while everyone was trying to talk to her. Shiiiit, now i know why everyone doesn't want to stay with her, she IS crazy. Angela S, is just a little skank (ok...maybe i'm exaggerating a little). She sees all the girls, dressed in their nicest attire, and she goes into the interview/party thing dressed like she's going club hopping. "I'm not changing for anyone"--Well if she wants to be a Princess she's gonna have to change...get over it!

I kinda wish that WE would butt out of the judgement....cause you know they are keeping most of the girls for a good show thing. Molly cause she's pretty homely----was it just me, but even after they waxed her eyebrows I thought she looked the same. Crystal cause she's a little "odd." Both Angela's cause they cause controversy...and Niqui and Carol cause u know there is gonna be conflic between them and "Balloon Angela." I kinda wish they would have kept Atlanta...she was starting to grow on me. Oh well.

My mom saw the show with me on Sunday---and it was her first time seeing it. The first thing out of her mouth was "well geez, they sure don't want the American Princess to be pretty" ROTFLMFAO. Ahhh my mom...gotta love her.

I said it once and I'll say it again. There was no real purpose for her to be there except for drama value. I don't know what we missed but something made her cry to want to go home. Well, she got her wish.

Ditto on Molly. She needs a new hair-do for it to seem like any major changes have been made.

The title that the final girl will win is a British title which makes sense since America is the red-headed step child of GB. But really, is this title useful or just a big JOKE?
