You're better off going through fraternity rush at UCLA and letting each fraternity give you their spiel.

There is a lot more to fraternities than good parties. If you are interested in making some great friends and involving yourself in community projects, meeting new people on campus, AND those parties, then you should look into all of the fraternities during rush and accept an invitation to the one where you feel like you fit in the best. Otherwise, you may end up joining a group and paying dues where they may have the best parties, but you don't like the members... and the parties are a very small part of a brotherhood.

Hope this helps! Students in your UCLA classes might have perceptions of the different fraternities to share-- but everyone has a different opinion about who is the best and why. You are better off going through rush and making that decision for yourself once you have all of the information from the fraternities and have gotten a vibe for the members in each one.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Delta Tau Chi.

A lot of people come onto this board knowing nothing about Greek Life or what is an appropriate question. Just trying to be helpful

I know a lot of fraternity members and alumni who call it a frat and see nothing wrong with it, and have never associated the word frat with a bad or dirty word.

I've never heard "frat" used as a bad thing to call a fraternity. Can someone PM me the reason it would be considered bad?
