In sickness or in health: Man tosses sick wife out window

Man Charged in Wife's Balcony Death

By MARIA SUDEKUM FISHER
Associated Press Writer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A man who told police he threw his ailing wife off their fourth-floor balcony because he couldn't afford to pay for her medical care was arraigned Thursday on charges of second-degree murder.

Stanley J. Reimer, 51, appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court to hear the charge in the death late Tuesday of Criste Reimer, 47.

Reimer did not have a lawyer at the hearing and requested representation by the public defender's office. He remained jailed on $250,000 bond.

i knew you would post this before me lol!

whatever happened to smothering people with pillows??? im not encouraging it, but damn, please help me go easy!

just last week my girlfriend told me her step-grandfather put her grandmother out of her misery. with 6 gunshot wounds. im still tryin ta find that newspaper article...

once again, what happened to pillows? smothering? im not saying Dr. Kevorkian was always right, but there is something to helping a relative go QUIETLY...this doesnt quite qualify, i dont think. perhaps there was some level of insanity? he was tired of taking care of her, tired of seeing her suffer...combine that with a lack of sleep, that sounds like some serious emotional distress. but enough to toss someone over a balcony??

He is dead meat, and should be put on the needle as Missouri has it.

Her Sisters said he was unstable and were trying to get her away from him.

But, to late
