Form 25

How many of you had a coat of arms (aka Form 25) signed by the brothers when you were initiated? What year? Do you still have it?

Have you ever received one to commemorate any other occasion?

I have two

That's a long-standing tradition at our Epsilon-Xi Zeta at Florida Southern College. I was initiated there in 2001, and still have my signed coat of arms. One twist that we have is that the only people allowed to sign the form are the people that are involved in the exemplification of your initiation ritual. So, that's kind of a perk of being on the ritual team.

I have a second one that I have hanging on my wall. It's a coat of arms that was signed by the 2005 Leadership Seminar (U of Maryland) International Ritual Team. I was honored to be the Coach for that year's team, and am proud to hang that high. It also has Chuck Peyser and Jeff Steele's signatures, as they were also greatly involved in training that team.

We do the same thing at UMBC. Only the brothers involved in the ceromony are allowed to sign it. I have mine framed hanging next to my diploma.

When we were AMs, we were encouraged to meet all the brothers and ask them to sign our COA. That way, each AM got to have a one on one conversation with every brother...even graduating seniors or whatever.

I got nearly all the signatures, but I'm sorry to say I haven't seen it in years. Possibly in a closet at my parents' house???

I still have mine hanging on my wall. It is amazing to look at mine, with ~20 brother's signatures and compare it to a current actives with nearly 80.

I have two.

One when we were colonized in 1966 by Drury Chapter. I thought I lost is and whew, I found it. George Spaysik was one of the signers.

One that I got from EM1843 which is a bigger version done by a Brother from Eta Mu and is hanging in the LX Z house.

We have a history of anyone who is in attendence for The Ritual is to have everyone there sign it. Now that is impressive in later years.

My three most important old time items are:

1. My origninal Badge.
2. My Shingle.
3. My form (25) with the names of the Ritual Team.

I know my name is an a few from LX Z and once with BN when an orignal local Founder was put through.

Even remeber his name. Hank Whitney and the one as the candidate.

I never did get a Form 25 from the Brothers in our chapter, mine came about a year later from Brother Jono when I requested a copy of the Coat Of Arms. I do not think that we ever really concerned ourselves with the CoA thing at first with us being so young and having to fight so hard through the year to get new Brothers, but hopefully it will become a tradition we embrace here pretty soon because I LOVE the idea of having the Brothers in attendance sign your CoA, kinda lets you look back and remember the night........

Anyway, does anyone know where I can find a good copy of the coat of arms in a larger size. I am looking for something maybe 18" x 24" to hang in my bedroom. We currently have one of the 5' Blankets stretched across our wall in our hall so it is also displayed in the house (great idea if you are renting BTW), but I want one to display in my room as well.
