Last I checked, the colors pink and green weren't copyrighted (ask the DZs and AKAs) and neither is the turtle.

If she bought it off eBay with some kind of intent to join DZ in the future, then that's her issue and really none of your business.

But since the bracelet didn't have the Delta Zeta letters on it, I don't see why there should be any concern.

I like pink and green and turtles, as do many other people.

The pink and green combo is really "in" right now, noticed that this weekend shopping.

Like OTW, I don't think it's any big deal and isn't really any of your business.

If it doesn't have Greek letters then there's nothing wrong with it. Pink and green are two colors that go well together and turtles are just cute little animals. The girl might not have even known what Delta Zeta is or what their colors or mascot are. Just because something is a sorority's symbol or color, doesn't mean any one else not in that sorority can't wear it. Thos rhinestone anchor necklaces were pretty popular at my school last year, the AST's didn't care that non-AST's were wearing them.

I echo everyone else on this. My friend has a diamond studded anchor and she's not a DG, she just happens to think it's really cute. My aunt has a red necklace with a silver elephant and she's not a Delta Sigma Theta. If there aren't any letters, then I see no reason to think about it./

As a Delta Zeta, I have no problem with this as long as our letters weren't on the bracelet. Actually, the bracelet sounds cute!! I might get one myself!

I would agree with everyone. No GLO has copyrighted certain colors and symbols. As long as there are no letters there should be no problem.

OMG if I see someone with teddy bear stuff I'm gonna put the smack down.

Seriously though, I don't think it's a problem. If she starts wearing exclusively pink and green and turtle stuff, I might be a bit concerned that she's wacky or stalkerish, but otherwise I think it is completely fine. Just means that according to DZs, she has great taste!

Threads where the OP has gone back and deleted their post usually end up making me laugh anyway... Thanks for another fun bump, AF!

Oh Noes! I put the 2yr old in a sweater with a teddy bear on it. I hope he doesn't get smacked down at playgroup by one of the sorority member Moms!

Must remember to take a sharpie to the sweater and make the teddy bear into a panda!

I have a teddy bear necklace somewhere at home and like 20 teddy bears on my bed. Should I be worried?

Uh oh, considering I actually collect teddy bears. Are all of the Alpha Phi's going to come after little ole me?

I've got to agree with everyone else. Don't worry about it.

Yah, don't tell Jill..........Don't want her smacking me down for the house full of Boyd's bears that she probably didn't notice the last time she was at my house (and will be here next weekend).

That shouldn't be a problem. A women's clothing chain was selling cute tanks and sweatshirts with tiny little squirrels back in September.
