Tomb Raider Anniversary released tomorrow

A remake of the original Tomb Raider from '96 comes out tomorrow for the PS2. Graphics improved tremendously, control should be better, plus the levels have been revamped a bit and you can use your grappling hook. For $20? Yeah, buddy, I'm on it.

Did anybody else get hooked on the Tomb Raider series? Sure, I can't count the times I threw the controller on the floor in disgust and muttered profanities when I kept dying in the same place again and again. But I loved it. The only one I haven't finished was Angel of Darkness.

One of my friends was a developer for this. It's a great game and brought back a lot of memories!

Playing it is vaguely familiar, yet it's like playing a whole new game. For instance, The city of Villacamba (2nd or 3rd level) actually looks like a lost city now, instead of looking like the programmers got drunk and threw up all over the keyboard like it did in the original game.

Seriously, as great as TR was for its time, it looks retarded compared to the anniversary edition on PS2.

F*ck that game- they should have named it Cliff Jumper. I don't think i've finished a single TR game even though I own all of them.

I totally dressed up as Lara Croft, chick is smoking! Not for halloween, just a superheroes themed party. It was the best I could do! Anyway, <3 TR, glad it's coming out. But I need a PS2...anyone want to give me a free one?

If your friend is a guy, do me a favor. Kick him in the nuts. When he asks "WHAT WAS THAT FOR", tell him Jon said "for St. Francis' Folly".
