21?
Is 21 too old to join? Junior status at a university.

While the search function on GreekChat isn't the greatest, I urge you to take some time to read some of the discussions here, especially those in the recruitment forum, before posting away.
Your question's been answered 239048230498234 times because it's already been asked by 239048230498234 people before you.
Your question's very general and vague, and chances are the answers you'll get here will also be general and vague. You might just get specific answers if you read the threads.

But, but, but OTW!
She's going to join Kappa Kappa Gamma in the fall at one school and Kappa Alpha Theta in the spring at another school! How *dare* you tell her to use the search function? Don't you see that she's special?????!!!!????!!!eleventy!!!

Hahaha, the search function sucks in that you have to type all your words over 4 letters so, 21, age, old, won't work.
Regardless, clearly you have a demented view on how the recruitment process works, since your other post indicates that you somehow think you can be both a Kappa and a Theta. To humor you and answer your question, 21 is not too old to go through recruitment, but your chances of being given a bid as a junior are much lower than someone who is a freshman.

Do a Google Advanced Search. Type in whatever it is you want to search. Type in greekchat.com where it asks for domain. You'll be surprised as to what you'll find.
I doubt that as a newbie she'd know such a thing, but if she stuck around and read before posting away, I'm pretty sure she might have found the answers she's looking for. Those "Am I too old to rush?" question are asked at least once a week, so those threads can't be buried in there too deep.

Doubt it. Leilany (the spelling drove me nuts, especially if it's pronunced 'Leilany') was posting pretty late last night. I'm sure even Dionysus had to have been sleeping.

no, it's not too old to join. I pledged at 22. I guess it depends on the school, but unless all the houses are impacted the first day of classes, like some deep south schools, it shouldn't be a problem.

I think I'm going to paste this into as many threads as appropriate....
Just a question in general-
Does anyone ask people questions anymore, aside from on the internet? I really don't intend to be mean, but come on. Call up the greek life office if you need to know ASAP. Or ask during recruitment. We represent a LOT of colleges/universities. Everyone is going to have a different policy. Why not call yours and find out instead of seeking advice on the interweb?
