Please check this link out. You may have to copy and paste. Oh, Lord!! Please teach 'em. That's all I have to say. Yes, some things should be ignored, but then again, not really.

Is it common, even when being rude to call AKA, "akka"?

It's done sometimes for "musical" purposes....

Anyway, it appears to be a "put them on blast" type video. Who knows? *shrugs* It's weird.

Some people at my undergrad (GDIs) would refer to AKAs as "akkas" - I never heard anyone call the org itself "akka" in normal conversation. I don't think it was meant to be rude, although thinking back on it, none of the individuals I remember using this term were big AKA fans.

Ok, I was just curious. I hadn't heard it before, and I figured that AKAs wouldn't like it much if someone said it around them.

The Deltas on my campus do this chant all the time. That used to be the only time I ever heard the pronunciation of "akka" but now a lot of AKA interests call it that so that people won't hear them say "AKA"--a measure of being discrete, I guess. But now, so many people do it that everyone knows what you mean by it so it's pointless.

I'd think it'd be counter-productive. One might just look stupid instead of being subtle.

The AKAs I know say "akka" from time to time or in their own chants.

After all those "future" facebook groups, I'm not surprised anymore. But I had to smile at her thinking the Delta call is just "oooo".
