The Grinch that Stole Christmas (Cheer)
Every year my older sister and her husband, who moved to Atlanta, send me a bottle of scotch for Christmas, along with some other goodies - usually something fraternity related. I live in NY.
Last week UPS delivered a box from them, so I just set it aside and figured I'd open it on Christmas.
Then the other day, I got an email from them saying UPS called them that the package was damaged and ultimately refunded them $100.
There was nothing wrong with the package, but I opened it and called them. Inside there were two Dewars 12 year-old glasses, some homemade food goodies, but no scotch!
It appears that UPS had removed the Christmas Cheer and re-packaged everything else, and delivered it. The outside carton was not the one my sister had sent.
Their daughter said that you can't, by law, send anyone alcohol. Is this true?
My 72 year-old sister can't send her 53 year-old brother a bottle of Dewars for Christmas???
What is this world coming to?
Jono
No Christmas Cheer this Year
