Spirit Week

We just completed our week long events for a spirit week called March Mavness - our school's mascot is the Maverick.
ANYWHO -
Chi Omega got second in the Spirit Cup
-Lambda Chi Alpha got first-
And we almost raised the most money to win the title of Penny Pitcher Princess...but at the last minute Sigma K came in with a thousand dollars worth of pennies...we had over 650 dollars worth.
Oh well, an effort well worth it.

That's super, Hootie. Ya know, a lot of peeps who find fault with the greeks, never take into account the philanthropy that we do. So far, I have enjoyed all of our events.

It was kinda disheartening to lose, but our candidate took it very well. WHAT A CLASSY CHI O.
The Sigma K's came in at exactly 2 00 - the deadline - with a thousand dollars worth of pennies. Our candidate had fundraised most of her money and brought it in at 1 30. She was sooooo nervous and asked me if I recommended her getting more pennies. I told her no, because I didn't think anyone would beat her in the half hour that was left.
A friend of mine in Sigma K told me that their candidate used a lot of her own money and donations from girls in the chapter. I just can't imagine putting out THAT kind of money...just to win.
Oh well...we'll get em next year.
