Post Initiate Test?
Hello to all my sisters and friends. Just a quick question, it is not too important, it just has sparked an interest in me. I am a newly initiated member (January) and next Sunday before chapter, my pledge class and I will be tested on our ability to recite the oath by memory to an alumna. If we do not say it by ourselves correctly, we are given two more weeks to learn it, and if we do not learn it by then, we receive a personnel. Basically my question is: Is this a standard practice, a rule or just a tradition? Is this national or maybe a preference of certain chapters including mine? I am more than proud to learn it and be able to say it, but my pledge class and I have found it extremely hard. That was after our very first chapter in January. It is our new, new-member educator's responsibility to teach it to us and she has been too busy lately to help us. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
