New Paedagogus....
The new paed's will be shipped in November... but I have a sneak peak here...
http://fraternitymanuals.com/images/...agogus50th.pdf
It looks like the layout is the same. Some of the content seems to have changed some.
Thoughts? Reviews?

Similar to the last edition, but in my opinion the small improvements are significant. I'd like to see the addition of pictures of each orgs. badges in the list of greek orgs. I see they are including more history with each edition as well, which I hope means the 2009 rendition of History will be packed with information. I believe the 47th-48th editions of the Paed. were the worst because they got so involved with AM pampering for lack of a better word, that they were devoid of useful information. I'm glad to see an significant increase in what is given to new members so that they have an oportunity to learn aobut the organization they have joined.
I also miss a significantly poignant quote from an older edition of the Paed. I'm unsure of the # but it refers to brother hood existing in the secret places of the heart. I'm sure Jono could look it up with is extensive collection.
Those are my short thoughts between classes...

Not sure of the quote, but the pablem issues had so much space taken up for Statutes and other things of very little actual Info.
I aslo requested several times to have The Badges and Pins put back in.
But next time maybe.
Also, the Listings for Zetas was much easier to follow. By when they were initiated and by Zeta date. Just a thought.
Older can many times be the best References and not to be forgoten.
Also was amazed to See The Memorable LXA Listing and the amount. Missed Ralph Waite who played Daddy on The Show with Will Geer. That Was A Jono Question!

Good to see they still have my picture in there from Leadership in '99. On page 50 I'm the one in grey shirt with a white hat next to the guy with a yellow LXA shirt. When that picture was taken they had just closed the U of Memphis chapter.

With a few more clues I'd be happy to look it up. Can't think of the one you mean.
One error in this Paedagogus (as in the previous one) is in the Timeline (p.145) for the first Paedagogus, issued in 1926. The one pictured alongside that entry is the 1992 edition! I've even had a younger brother e-mail me asking if that's what it really looked like. I'm sure they can find a picture of the actual first one. Silly mistake, and misleading to someone who's really interested in the facts.
ZAX,
Jono

I could find it if I really wanted to. If you ever see GH Phi Smith ask him about it. Next time I get a chance I'll try to find it.

I see the ususal technical errors in the chapter histories.
I know of a few in each of two of the three chapters I have been involved with. The local name is wrong in one (its Delta Epsilon Gamma - Not Delta Epsilon Kappa - they mean different things), and in the other, the colonization date (for the chapter I advise) is listed as 2003, when it was 2004 and the university was founded in 1886, not 1900.
This is the new groups first appearance in the book, so I can understand about content mistakes. I dont know how many times they might have been told about the other. Maybe never, I dunno.
