Whazzup?....It is not like us....a group of interesting and intelligent BLACk WOMEN with nothing to say. I look forward everyday to coming to this forum and finding some insightful and thought provoking topic of conversation, something to get me through my sometimes "boring" day at work.....I hope my administrator is not a SIGMA{:-)....So WAKE UP and let's get a topic going that will have them all talkin in the halls!!!!!
I got one....NAME ONE WORD OR ONE PHRASE TO ACCURATE REFLECT OUR BELOVED SISTERHOOD THAT CAN BE USED AS CATCHY PHRASE...For example i came up with one that i have been using at the end of my postings were ever i post...FINAL SELECTION. SHEER PERFECTION. What do you think? Any other ideas. Any other topics of interest that we can mull around???????

i feel you soror!! i know, i'm on alot of sgrho boards and email groups that are alive, but this one has been dead lately.

i promise to do my part to keep this board active

here's what my chapter uses:

See dats what a sista is talkin bout'....Let's make this spot the place to be for all SGRhos...Let's try and put interesting links to other topics that would benefit the SoRHOrity as a whole as well as BLACK WOMAN every where..Let's just BLOOOOWWWS it off the hook...Also I would be interested in finding other message boards, chats, and emails....I mean BLACKPLANET is cool but i was wonder if there are anymore out there...leta sista know........

I feel ya Soror and sorry I don't post more often on this board. I just kind of read through everything. I hold a position in my grad chapter and I am busy. I also mentor and tutor children in my neighborhood and I have children of my own. I am just about Greater Service, Greater Progress and don't have a lot of time to spend in cyberspace but with Spring break here and summer coming up you will see me here more often!

I'm going to give you all one from back in the day. Please don't laugh or if you do laugh don't tell that you lol (smile)!

In the big early 80s we (sorors) would wear this pin or some sorors even had t-shirts that had the following message:

SuGaR oh so sweet! A Sigma lady
is some one you have to meet!

I know it seems kid of corny but the brothers liked it!

I hope you ladies noticed that the initials of Sigma Gamma Rho are part of the word sugar!

Now you can all laugh!
