question about sending in a rec....

I'm sending in a rec for a friend of mine going through recruitment at another school, but I am not sure what to do. Should I send it attention to the president or RVP? Both? Can it be sent through email or should it be by snail mail?

Thanks ladies!

I don't know if it can be sent by e-mail. Snail mail is a definate good way to do it though. (Send it to the sorority house most likely.)

I would send it to the Rush Chair. If you can't find out who that person is, then the RVP. I would say the President after that.

If anyone out there knows better than I do, feel free to chime in!

Send a message via AIM to polarpi
Whenever I've sent in a rec/letter of introduction, I usually send it through snail mail, and "attn" to either the Formal Recruitment Chair, RVP, or the Recruitment Information Manager, if I don't have the specifics on who it needs to go to. Maybe one of our lovely recruitment advisors/chapter advisors/other knowledgeable alumnae would know better than I would, though!

Thank you!

I guess if I put it attention to a few positions, it will eventually get to the right person (I hope) !

When sending a rec, send it to the attention of the Recruitment Information Manager.

If you don't know her name, don't worry-- You can address it to the chapter ATTN: Recruitment Info Manager.

Please don't send the same rec to multiple officers. It will create a lot of confusion for the chapter and unnecessary paperwork.

EMAIL: Most chapter will accept recs via email if the rec is coming in very close to recruitment. If you email, call them and let them know you emailed it-- get a confirmation that it was received. Closer to recruitment, chapters get so involved with Spirit Week that they may not check email!

Regardless of the method by which you submit the rec, the chapter will send a timely thank you as acknowledgement.
