Greek budget suffers

Interesting thing to note, like in almost every campus, the fraternity membership is down but the sorority membership is up.

I don't believe that's a nationwide trend. In fact, I doubt that any single fraternity represented on this board would say that their national membership is declining. things were down in the 1990s but they have bounced back. From reading the article, it sounds like on-campus fraternity is too expensive, and the University is throwing fraternities out of their houses right and left. I'm sorry to hear that about N.C. State; it's a fine school.

We've had like 4 new frats start on my campus in the last two years. There has been a few sororities interested in coming on campus....but pan always votes them down even though all the sororities are full to max.
