Miami politician commits suicide in Herald lobby

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted here yet...

Former Miami Commissioner Arthur E. Teele Jr. walked into the lobby of The Miami Herald building Wednesday evening and shot himself in the head.

Teele, once one of Miami-Dade's most influential politicians who once ran unsuccessfully for County Mayor, was recently indicted on federal charges of fraud & money laundering.

Popular Miami Herald columnist Jim DeFede is fired over illegally taping a conversation with Teele.
