makeup suggestions please!
OK girls, (and guys who may be knowledgable about makeup ), I need your help.
I need a new foundation... mine is icky and making my face crazy.
My face has been crazy-oily lately, and it's nuts.
So I need something that is long-wearing, helps control the oil and it would be a major plus if it has SPF too!
That's my main thing.
I would also like some eyeshadow that doesn't give a disappearing act mid-day, so if ya'll have suggestions on that too, it would be awesome.
Thanks!!!1

When I was younger I wore Corn Silk because it sucked up the oil (and I had oil) like nobody's business.
Try using a shadow base - a real one, don't put concealer or foundation on your lids - it really helps a lot.

How expensive are you willing to go?
I use Lancome's Adaptive and it's great so far, although I've only been using it since November so I don't know how it will do in the summer humidity.
ETA: For some reason I can't get the link to work. It's on Lancome's website under their Foundations. Here's the description from their website:
ADAPTĪVE
All-Day Skin-Balancing Makeup
SPF 10
Balance combination skin. Flawlessly. All day.
The innovative ADAPTI-LAST complex matifies the T-zone all day long, while keeping the dry zones smooth and comfortable. Pores virtually disappear. The ultra-light formula glides on silky smooth for flawless, natural-looking coverage. Ideal for combination skin. Oil-free.

Bobbi Brown foundation covers great, but it makes my face break out, so it may do the same to yours. I've heard a lot of good things about Prescriptives and MAC, though. Here lately I've just been skipping the foundation and just putting concealer on my undereye area, and then some loose powder over my face, and so far, my skin's been a lot better.
For your eyeshadow, try F.Y. Eye by BeneFit...that stuff totally rocks! I know, because my eyeshadow disappears into my crease about 10 seconds after I put it on usually, but that stuff helps it stick. It's like my eyelids sweat or something...but yeah, definitely try that one.

I agree with AchtungBaby. Your skin WILL feel a bit better if you just stick to a lightweight sunscreen/moisterizer then a bit of concealer and powder.

Bare Minerals is really good foundation even though I use my MAC most of the time. I've been tanning lately, so I probably need another color in BM, so I wouldn't be able to wear them anyways.
It's a powder, so it's good for oily skin. And it's supposed to be better for your skin compared to other foundations. It contains SPF also.
As for eye shadows, you should use a primer or base color before you apply your shadows. I use MAC paints which comes in a tube. All you have to do is apply just a little of it to your lid. It also helps the shadow stand out more. If you want shadows to stand out even more, instead of sweeping color onto your lid, you pat it on. MAC sells cream color bases, but those always crease. They also have the shadesticks, which is like the paints but in a twist-up type of pencil. When you use that, you just put it on your lid and blend.
Urban Decay has a primer that people rave about called Potion Primer.

I absolutely love MAC makeup and it's not as expensive as people think. If I were you, I would stop using foundation everywhere, except under your eyes, and use a light powder for oiliy skin instead. Also, have you considered the type of face wash you are using. I SWEAR by Pro-Activ. It's expensive but if you use it correctly you will see BIG results. I used to have oily skin and would break out around that time of the month but only time I broke out or had excessively oily skin in the last 4 months was when I didn't follow the three steps of Pro-Activ correctly.

I use Clinique's pore minimizer t-zone shine control under my foundation, and I think it helps. For foundation I use Clinique's gentle light makeup, which is nice and light and doesn't make me break out or anything.

I use Bibo C- the Glow moisturizer....it also has SPF 15 (I'm fair-skinned so this is a plus). It's not to goopy--goes on light and doesn't feel greasy at all. Then I just apply concealer stick where I need it and a little light powder. I have really dry skin, and this is perfect for me to use in the morning. I can't stand having something that is too goopy/creamy/heavy on my face, so it's great.

I rarely ever wear foundation anymore.
I agree with whoever said to switch your moisturizer. I started using toner and lotion from Origins and then I just wear concealer and powder and I'm good to go.
But if I do wear foundation, I have Clinique's acne line foundation. I forget the exact name. Works for me. But I've also tried Perscriptives and Origin's line... and those are good too.
