FOX Blocker

http://www.foxblocker.com/

FOXBlocker is an innovative new product that filters out the FOX News network. Simply screw the filter into the back of your TV and never be exposed to right wing propaganda again (at least through FOX News). Using a proprietary technology, the FOXBlocker works to filter out FOX News from your cable lineup.

Protect yourself and your family, or send one to a misguided right wing friend.

When you order, it lets you select the channel that you want to block. I could also be a Home Shopping Network blocker. $8.95 is a bit high for an RF blocker though.

It won't work if you get Fox through satellite, or if your cable company digitizes the signal (most send their bottom 70 or so as analog, even when you have a digital cable box).

If he find himself a nice niche market, more power to him. I'm sure there are many suckers out there who will buy it. Probably the same people that actually buys thing from spam mails.

I doubt if that demographic much cares about Fox news, and they probably fear it would block NASCAR on FOX shows too.

I feel the guy should market the FOX-blocker to George Spanos and Michael Moore, and the move-on.org crowd. They could buy in bulk and distribute to their dem friends.

So it's really just a filter. That makes sense. Someone's trying to make a buck using the FOX card.

Well I'm sure all the close-minded liberals out there who hate differing opinions and news would be OK with blocking Fox. I'm sure those that are open-minded wouldn't.

I agree... the FOX "blocker" for the rest of us is called a TV Guide or a remote... this is just some tool looking for PR to boost sales on a pointless item.

This thing is stupid.

It has been around for a year or so now, and they keep writing articles about it. Anyone who buys this is an idiot.

Censorship at its worst.

How is it censorship? Nobody is forcing you to buy it? If somebody is stupid enough to buy it, more power to the seller.

Isn't this the same as internet filters?

This guy's purpose is to try to lower the ad revenue going to Fox News due to their position as the #1 cable news channel.

He is doing his part in trying to run them out of business becasue they don't spout liberal propaganda. He is doing a sorry-a$$ job too. His product has been on the market for over a year, it is being hyped by every mainstream media outlet sans Fox News, and he still hasn't sold any of these stupid things.

What a moron. He doesn't agree with what is broadcast by FNC, so he tries to silence them, sounds like censorship to me.

Again, how is this censorship? Many organization have done the same thing he does, on both side. For instance, the musical Jerry Spring: The Opera lost investors because of Christian groups in both the US and UK.

He is trying to make money by tapping into a niche market. The potential market for this product is those who doesn't wan't Foxnews in the first place. Then again, most people are smart enough to realized that the remote will suffice. However, to paraphrase somebody else, "There is a fool born everyday." So who knows, he might be able to create a niche market for himself.

How do you know he's "trying to run them out of business because they don't spout liberal propoganda?" I suggest you read this article. Pay attention to this particular paragraph:
Quote:
Formerly a registered Republican, even a precinct captain, Kimery became an independent in the 1990s when he said the state party stopped taking input from its everyday members.
