TITLE: Sr. Web Content Editor / Writer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Work with our team to manage the content throughout our website(s). Develop and provide content specifically designed for the greek system. Have direct contact with the members of the greek community to gather and write news and announcements. Interview individual members of the greek community to provide profile articles. Work directly with the Jr. Web Content Writers, managing their content production and delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Editing content for content, grammar, and style for publication on our sites as well as inputting content into our content management system.
- Communicating on a regular basis with our readership via our forums, news blog, e-mail, and other outlets.
- Coordinating our junior team of writers, and assisting in arranging and coordinating topic and publication schedules for our sites and publications.
- Assist the team in development of marketing materials.
KEY ABILITIES- Possess excellent writing skills, including impeccable grammar and succinct and clear prose.
- Adapt different styles to different types of information and audiences.
- Have good project management, time management, and self management skills.
- Ability to maintain and manage relationships with outside freelance writing and editing personnel.
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to work under deadline.
Understanding and capability with HTML is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or other relevant field.
- 4+ years experience in copyediting, writing or similar position.
- Member in good standing of a national fraternity or sorority.
