Exclamation Anti Vday Celebrations!

Anyone have any anti v-day plans?

My friend Nate is going to come over and cook my and my roommate homemade lasagna and garlic bread, i'm going to make some sort of gooey chocolately dessert, and we'll rent some stupid cheesy movies. We're also contemplating finding the candy hearts that say "you stink" and other insulting things

I plan to spend time with my boyfriend so I'm not anti-Valentine's Day.

Sans boyfriend I loaded up on chocolate and candies with my friends kind of the way you described.

I'm also spending it with the bf, but we are anti-Valentines in a sense that we won't be buying each other elaborate gifts and trying to book reservations at any given restaurant because everyone else is too. We're staying home and he's cooking dinner.

But ditto on the candy pig out thing when I was single. Actually I think one of the best V-days I had was when I had a bf but he was out of the country. After a poorly planned recruitment event, a couple of the girls all went out to this high class restaurant that could only seat five of us at the bar and was only offering meals for two. Since it was a full course meal (salad, dinner, dessert and drinks) for a big price, we bought two and just split it between all of us. We all ended up with something.

It's gonna be just another day for me, too.

One year, though, when I was living in the dorm, my hallway had a Valentine's Day door decorating contest. My roommate and I both didn't see the big fuss over it, so we decided to do an anti-Valentine's Day theme. We put ugly brown paper over the door, and wrote "You Are Now Entering The Anti-V-Day Zone" in big letters. Then, we cut out all these red paper hearts and wrote things on them like "You suck" and "Bite me" and stuck them to the door. For the finishing touch, we made more hearts with names of guys on them who'd broken our hearts and stuck plastic knives through them, and hung them from the ceiling in the hallway in front of our door. The RA didn't know what to say!

although i have a boyfriend (it's our second v-day together), we're not doing the traditional stuff we did last year.

we're not going out on v-day. instead, we're going to wait a few days and just go to a low key dinner. then the next weekend, he's going to cook me dinner.

we also don't do big presents. i make him brownies and give him some candy and a card, and he will probably give me flowers and a card. nice and simple!

when i didn't have a boyfriend, my girlfriends and i would always go out to dinner together. that was always a lot of fun!

I'm anti-Valentine's Day. Maybe when I have a boyfriend it'll be different, but why not show the one you love that you care about them everyday? Isn't that the way it should be?

This year I'll be spending it bowling in my Pistons bowling league. If I see couples getting all smoochy I'll puke.

My boyfriend won't be here for V-Day so I'm doing an anti-Vday celebration with my single friends. We're going to eat fattening foods, drink way too much wine, and watch cheesy movies.

Agreed. I just can't make myself care about Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day has not ever really been a big deal to me, it's just another day. If people want to get all lovey dovey, good for them, but I don't enjoy that stuff the other 364 days of the years so why would I on Valentine's Day?

Last year I got 2 dozen roses and I pulled them apart, one by one, and threw them out of my 3rd floor bedroom window at the sorority house. The Sig Ep's watching across the street probably thought I was nuts, but it was fun and I didn't like the dude who sent them anyway.

We moved our chapter meeting from monday night to tuesday so on Monday I will be hanging out with my most favorite thing ever, even though he has 4 legs, lots of hair, and he snores at night. And I think some girls are coming over for a slumber party which I haven't done since like 9th grade...

A radio station in Atlanta is sponsoring their annual "Bitter Ball". No couples allowed!
