Is it because I'm a lesbian?

Who else saw Law & Order last night? I laughed for like 10 minutes.

I had that on while I was doing other things last night! How random was that? I don't know if Law and Order was trying to make some kind of political statement by saying that people do get fired for that kind of thing, or if they just wanted the ratings, or maybe they wanted you to go out and buy all 1364 seasons to look back and see if she ever hinted about being a lesbian before. How odd!

Okay, I missed last night's episode, and now I'm mad that I forgot to schedule it to be DVR'd.

I assume I know what you're talking about though. Was that the last line? Interesting.

I think they wanted to make it seem like she really wasn't a robot (alas, too late).

Sorena was fired for being "too passionate." Apparently the type of law she practiced needed drive/diligence (can't remember the exact terms that were used) but passion has no place. She he fired her.

And you're right the last line was, "is it because I'm a lesbian?"

Personally, I do think the writers did that so we can now review all episodes she appeared in to see if there were any "hints."

I like to see how they get rid of all the DAs. They are running out of ideas.

Keeping in mind that I missed the episode:

I think they probably did that b/c McCoy is known for his affairs w/ his assistants. The writers, having her ask, "Is it b/c I'm a lesbian?" would lead me to assume that she wouldn't have an affair w/ him, thus leading to the assumption that's why he fired her.

Assuming, of course it was McCoy who fired her. Or was it the head honcho guy?

He is? Wow, I can't wait for the next spin-off "Law and Order, Sexual Harassment" boink, boink.

Hahaha.

Seriously though, notice how McCoy keeps getting older and all his assistants are these young hot women? They haven't had a man in the role of the assistant since the first season.

One of my law professors in college always thought it was so funny. She got a kick over how unrealistic it was to have such young women cast in that position.

When he told her all her faults she said "does Jack agree with this?" and Branch said "not as strongly as I do, but it is my office and my decision."

Jack couldn't fire an assistant without Branch's approval first.

The thing that cracks me up is in the big L & O coffee table book, Elisabeth Rohm says she thinks Serena has a crush on Jack. Bleah! (Bleah on Serena, that is, not on Jack)

Boy, that blew my theory right out of the water, then.

I'm sure they'll rerun it. I'm so mad that I missed it!

Who is replacing her?

Did anyone see the Jerry Orbach memorial after last week's epi? It almost brought tears to my eyes.

Very likely. Especially if it was the last line in the show (cut to credits!)
