For years Santa got by with the red sleigh and eight tiny reindeer. Not any longer......
The sleigh was completely stripped down and rebuild with composites to allow it to be up armoured. It's shape was modified to reduce it's radar signature. It now has electronic countermeasures as well as a missle defense system.
Santa no longer has to depend on Rudolph's red nose to lead the way. He has complete insturmentation and does not have to depend on visual flight. Features include a heads up display as well as forward looking infared. Santa has one of the latest model GPS systems available. His entire flight is fed in and plotted for display. For added peace of mind, an OnStar system was also added.
The reindeer went thru a rigorous training process with a lot of simulator time. Their air combat manuvering is top-notch and should allow Santa to evade any hostile aircraft he might encounter. If neccesary he can lock on his Sidewinder missiles and somebody will get more than a lump of coal in their stocking. The reindeers' coat has a naturally low infared signature which should lessen the chance of them being targeted.
As a backup, when Santa is overflying potentially hostile airspace. He will be under fighter escort from the USAF. Just the little changes that were neccessay so that Santa could keep doing his job, bringing joy to good little boys and girls everywhere.
