Iran should be the focal point in the war on terrorism.

I believe that Iran w/ it's refusal to come clean about their intent to produce WMDs should be the focus in the war on terrorism. Iran is the country that has the same agenda as many terrorist groups while we spent too much time, money and most of all lives fighting in Iraq. Iran was allowed to slip under the radar all the while working on technology that could lead to it being a Nuclear state w/ plans to use those weapons around the middle east and to attack the west in the near future.

First of all it's nothing personal so don't take it that way.

Iran is known to support state ran terrorist organizations (These organizations have cells in America and harbor deep resentment towards America for supporting Israel.

these organizations want to rid the middle east of all influences from the west.

Iran has a plan (and have tried in the past) to spread strict Islamic law in the middle east.

Iran still feels slighted by America w/ the incident involving the shaw of Iran. (early 80s)

Iran is seeking technology to mass produce Nuclear weapons.

I didn't take it as personal. I'm trying to expand on what you're trying to say. Iran is not the magnificent country it used to be and is filled with thieves and murderers now.

I want to know a) what we have done to deal with Iran and b) what we haven't done to deal with Iran.

Re: Iran should be the focal point in the war on terrorism.

It really shoudn't, and the reason is geopolitical.

Which nation was most supportive of the dynamics that facilitated 9-11? Saudi Arabia. The U.S. is not going to invade Saudi Arabia, but it would like to influence the liberalization of Saudi society.

When the Bush administration wanted to remake the region, it had to look at all of the destabilizing elements of the region. What were the other nations, other than Iraq, that were procatively destabilizing the region through their support of Jihadist elements? Yes, Iran was (and is) one. So is Syria. Syria is a huge problem because Israel is the scapegoat for everyone's problems in the region, and Syria does more than their fair share to keep the Israeli-Palestinian conflict going.

No, lets go to the map...

Guess which nation borders Saudi Arabia, Iran and Syria? Iraq.

What was the only nation in the Middle East that was genocidal at the time of 9-11? Iraq.

The moral imperitive was there to invade Iraq, and this coincided with a clear strategy to remake the Middle East. No nation needed change more than Iraq, and they, unlike Iran, were unable to change from within due to the brutally oppressive nature of the regime.

When will people understand that the war on terror isn't about one State i.e. Iran or one person i.e. Osama...oh I forgot..we're trying to get back to the point where the war on terror is simply a nuisance
