Dem goons attack Bush-Cheney at 5 sites

• Near Milwaukee, "more than 50 demonstrators supporting Democrat presidential candidate John Kerry stormed a Republican campaign office in West Allis at mid-day [Tuesday], trespassing, creating a disturbance through the use of a bullhorn in the office and then refusing to leave when asked," according to a Wisconsin GOP press release. State party chairman Rick Graber also pointed "to an incident in Madison last week in which Bush-Cheney yard signs were stolen from the yards of three homes. The vandals then used chemicals to burn swastikas into the lawns of the homes."

• In Huntington, W.Va., "someone fired a shot at the Republican Headquarters office" on Sept. 2, as local party members were watching President Bush's nomination speech, reports WSAZ-TV. "The bullet left a hole in the front window," but no one was hurt.

• In Knoxville, Tenn., "an unknown suspect fired multiple shots into the Bearden office of the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign Tuesday morning." No one was in the office. "One shot shattered the glass in the front door and the other cracked the glass in another of the front doors."

• In Orlando, Fla., "a group of protestors stormed and then ransacked a Bush-Cheney headquarters building" on Tuesday. WKMG reports that most of the intruders "were from the AFL-CIO and were taking part in one of 20 other coordinated protests around the country."

• In Tampa, Fla., "labor activists stormed President Bush's campaign headquarters" Tuesday. No one was injured or arrested.

To be sure, in the most serious of these incidents, the gunshots in Huntington and Knoxville, the perpetrators were unknown. It's possible they were random acts of violence. But can you imagine the outcry if this sort of thing were going on at Democratic campaign offices?

With the exception of the first one how can you say it was democrats? Many other groups dislike Bush, maybe even more so? They could be a groups of TKE's doing it as far as you know.

ALSO near Milwaukee cars were keyed for having Kerry/Edwards stickers.

ALSO near the brink of insanity hoosier became blinded by partisan rhetoric.

If I decide to vote Democrat this year, this could really piss me off. Calling anyone a dog is over the line in terms of political debate.

And yes, a lot of my generation served in Viet Nam. Did you?

Here is a website that shows some recent anti-Bush activism. While I am a strong advocate of free speech, I think it is wrong for members of any political party to intimidate or harrass people based on their political views.

As I have stated on other threads, this is merely prelude to a post-November 2nd planned protest of the election results in the event that Bush does win.

It won't matter by how much, or how the events unfold Election Day. And this is the unraveling of of a system under the control of each state.
The desired result is to centralize the process with a federal takeover of elections, and it diminishes a participatory system.

Centralize the power, and control the results.

Still waiting the days when the debate has more then two candidates. Imagine having Bush, Kerry, Badnarik, Nader and Cobb. That would be much more informative to watch then having a joint press conferences

How about a real debate?

One on one, run what you brung (as they say at outlaw auto races).

I would throw out the 32 pages of rules. The only rule you need is "Be here at 9:00p.m."

The League of Women Voters quit sponsoring the debates when the parties insisted in too many conditions.

Let's try one with no rules.
